I want to take the time to welcome you all back to band. I am very excited to see my returning 6-8 grade students and meet our new beginning band 5th graders. Our first day of band class is Thursday, August 17. The first day to bring instruments is Tuesday, August 22.
Required Materials for Class
5th Grade- Instruments, Traditions of Excellence Book 1, Pencil
6th Grade- Instruments, Traditions of Excellence Book 1, Pencil
7/8 Grade- Instruments, Traditions of Excellence Book 2, Bach and Before book, Pencil
Flute- cleaning rod
Clarinets and Saxophones- 4 working reeds preferably in a reed case, cork grease, mouthpiece cap, cleaning swab for instrument
Brass- Valve Oil, mouthpiece brush
Trombones- Slide Spray
All students- Access to Charms Office either the app (it's free) or computer access to use it and set it up.
Recommended Equipment- Folding Music Stand (for home), Tuner/Metronome or Tuner/Metronome App on Smart phone
